I agree with Melissa. I'm not a member of USAS, but just a person who
watches the lists to get educated or forward call to actions to other list
servs that I belong too. I haven't seen many people complain if people
every now and then forward something that isn't directly on topic, only a
few individuals. I personally only every now and then read Jonathen
Fremont's emails, as McKinney doesn't represent the majority of my views,
but I do respect her willingness to go against the grain of her fellow
Democrats, and some of her work I find interesting. That goes for some of
the stuff by Ravi (one world) - some of those posts are really important,
and though not all of them are directly "sweatshop" related, some of them
are. Worker/Peasant Rights in Bolivia for instance, are related, IMO. If i
don't like it or it's not a topic I'm really into, I use the delete button
myself. I have seen times when people abused it here on the list serv, but
as of yet, I don't feel the amount of emails sent by Fremont nor Ravi
constitute abuse. If the list serv as a whole decides it doesn't want these
emails, then that's fine, but it has to be the majority of list serv members
that feel so. Peace.

Jonathan, notwithstanding the fact that
your recent e-mail of "News from
Congresswoman McKinney" may very well
be important, most if not all of it is not
directly germane / relevant to the struggle[s]
against sweatshops. THEREFORE ...
SUGGESTION/REQUEST:
Jonathan:
Please consider NOT sending out these
periodic news releases/compendia of
her statements out to the USAS list.
USAS People:
If you would like to receive
"News from Congresswoman McKinney"
please request that Jonathan Fremont
add you to his e-mail list[s].
I'm sure he'd be very glad to do so
upon request.
In case you missed it, his e-mail is:
<Jonathan.Fremont@mail.house.gov>
A little [self] discipline, please.
