Subject: FW: Virus

Aloha, all...some of the computers here at Drug-Free Hawaii were infected
with a

virus through e-mail addresses from some outside users, and may have

infected those listed in our own address books; therefore, I am sending this

e-mail to everyone in my address book. Please be sure to read the

information below to check if your computer is infected, and to take

appropriate action. Mahalo!

Subject: Virus

There is a virus which spreads from address book to address book. As a

precaution, I am writing to alert you that you might have caught the virus.

This virus has not yet been detected by Norton or McAfee. It remains dormant

for about 14 days then activates and wipes out the hard drive data. Don't

worry. Perform the diagnostic described below to easily remove the virus.

I did so, found the virus, and removed it from my computer.

Follow this method to check and delete the virus:

1. Go to "Start" on your taskbar, then to "Find" or "Search" (depending

on your computer)

2. In the "Search for Files or Folders", type in sulfnbk.exe -- this is

the name of the virus.

3. In the "Look in" box, make sure you're searching Drive C

4. Hit "Search" button (or "Find" button)

5. If this file shows up (it's an ugly blackish icon that will have the

name "sulfnbk.exe), DO NOT OPEN IT!

6. *Right click* on the file, go down to "Delete" and left click

7. It will ask you if you want to send it to the recycle bin. Say yes.

8. Go to your desktop and double click the recycle bin icon

9. Empty the bin

If you do end up finding the virus, you may want to forward this email

(I blind copied it) to everyone in your address book as a courtesy.

Hopefully, you won't find it, or at least you will find it in time to

avoid the problems on your hard drive. Good luck.
