Just a reminder that the Campus/Community Solidarity Committee conference call is tonight, 9:30-10:30 PM EST. Jonathan Harris is facilitating. The number is 530.642.5373. Lots of important stuff to discuss for this exciting committee -- hope you can jump on at 9:30 (sharp). :) All student activists with an interest in domestic worker solidarity campaigns are very welcome, even if (especially if) you're "new" to USAS or to this type of work.
Here's a description of this relatively new USAS committee:
--> The Campus/Community Solidarity Committee helps build strong, mutually supportive relationships between USAS students and workers in their campuses and communities. It seeks to assist in national coordination and strategic planning of student/worker domestic solidarity campaigns, such as living wage, right to organize, and other struggles, and serves as a resource to students engaged in this work.
