Dear midwest USASers,
The northwest Ohio bus to DC for 4/20 is MAJORLY UNDERBOOKED. A
grassroots organizer for Witness for Peace is eating the cost which is
going to put her into tremendous debt. We have gotten donations from
people who can't go to DC but WE NEED ABOUT A DOZEN PEOPLE TO PAY FOR
THE BUS. So if you're planning on driving 12 hours two ways to get to
DC, think twice!
You will be a lot safer and you will get to sleep and/or watch movies,
bond, and sing bus trip songs with me, a dozen kids from the University
of Toledo, and about 5-6 other community activists if you drive to
Toledo, Ohio from wherever you are, park in a safe place we've
designated, and hop on the bus. Furthermore, I will prepare vegan bean
and rice dinners Friday night for whoever chooses to do this and wants
food. Bus leaves at 9 pm Friday night from Toledo and returns around 5
am Monday morning. Cars will be parked in a safe place the whole time.
If you need a ride to DC and you're on the route from Toledo to DC, even
better. We can figure out a way to stop through your town and pick you
up.
The seats are $60 roundtrip BUT with our donations we might be able to
subsidize them SOMEWHAT. Please write back if you want to hop on the NW
Ohio anti-war bus to DC.
