[usas] LET THE FLA KNOW HOW U FEEL!!

I know everyone has been following the New Era campaign for quite some time
and it seems that we are so close to a big win. Right now New Era is trying
to gain membership to the FLA. The FLA has delayed this decision for a
couple weeks now. The time has come to give the FLA a little push to remind
them that students are watching. Remember that if the FLA turns down New
Era, then all FLA schools have to drop the contracts they have with New Era.
So here is a sample email to send to the new director of the FLA, Auret
van-Heerden. Please also CC the email to talkalot83@hotmail.com so we know
how many emails were sent. The final FLA decision will be made on May 1st
so make sure you send the email before Wednesday. If you are going to send
the sample letter, please make sure to fill in your school name and sign the
bottom. Of course we encourage people to write their own letters as well!!

Good luck on exams
Trina

The Executive Director of the FLA is Auret van-Heerden.

To Auret van-Heerden, Director of the FLA:

I am a student from [ENTER SCHOOL HERE] and I'm writing because I am deeply
concerned about the New Era workers. As you know they have been on strike
for a very long time. New Era Cap Co. has continuously lied to its workers,
students, WRC, and administrations. It is time to send New Era owners and
management a strong message that injustice to workers won't be tolerated.

We are encouraged to see the FLA making small changes in the way it
investigates factories and we only hope that the FLA will continue to change
in order to give workers a voice. We are anxiously waiting the decision of
disapproval for New Era Cap Co. and we hope the FLA makes the correct
decision. Turn down New Era Cap Co. and give the workers in Derby a voice
they have been striving to obtain.

Looking to change the world one corporation at a time,
