We are continuing this year to assist local coalition staff and leaders travel to learn hands on by helping sister JwJ coalitions - especially to learn about building Workers Rights Boards and Fundraising. Here are some upcoming events - if you think one of them is a good match for you, contact your Field Organizer on the JwJ staff.
May 1 Tucson-Area JwJ Workers Rights Board Hearing on the Right to Organize
May 10 South Florida JwJ 1st Annual Fundraising Dinner
May 17 Buffalo CEJ/JwJ Fundraising Dinner
May 23 Cleveland JwJ Spring Celebration (Fundraiser celebrating the 10th anniversary of Cleveland JwJ)
June 8 St. Louis JwJ Workers Rights Board Hearing
Also, don't forget June 9-10 is the Midwest Workers Rights Board Gathering. If you are interested in starting a new Workers Rights Board, you may want to attend - even if you're not from the Midwest! contact Laura Bogle at laurab@jwj.org
If your coalition has a big event or campaign coming up that you think other coalitions could learn from - and you could use an extra set of hands to help, let us know!
