Hi everyone,
Today there's some bad news about the USAS National Conference which has
been scheduled for August 8 - 11 in Medford, Massachusetts.
Unfortunately the city of Medford has for the past week been losing electrical
power for 15 and 20 hour stretches because both power lines into the city
have simultaneously failed; the power company responsible for the area can't
guarantee any fix for the problem for at least 4 weeks.
So, what does that mean for the USAS conference? We're not really sure yet
-- this has only emerged on the horizon in the past few days and we're still
trying to find out more information.
But for the moment, we're asking everyone NOT to buy any more plane tickets
or other transportation to the Boston area for August 8 - 11. We'll put
out more information as soon as we have it for you; but for right now HOLD
OFF on any more conference expenditures.
And again, we'll send more information out as soon as we have something to
send.
