ACTION TOMMOROW, FRIDAY, NOON, @ Tressider
THIS MONDAY, Bon Appetit, a food service vendor on
campus, is going through with major "restructuring"
meaning that workers are going to be layed off and the
majority of workers will be shifted to part time
status- meaning NO HEALTH CARE and NO LIVING WAGES for
these employees! THIS MONDAY!
Just this past May, hundreds of students, faculty,
and staff helped Bon Appetit workers win major
victories in their contract renegotiations. Hundreds
of students SLEPT OUT in the Main Quad for a week to
help these workers win HEALTH CARE and LIVING WAGES!
Now Bon Appetit is trying to take all of this away
from the workers- denying them ANY OF THE VICTORIES
they won in negotiations! WE MUST TAKE ACTION! WE
CANNOT ALLOW FOR THIS INJUSTICE TO OCCUR!
Please, come out a SUPPORT BON APPETIT EMPLOYEES and
DEMAND LABOR JUSTICE. All people deserve health care
and liveable wages-- we can not allow vendors and
subcontractors to compromise these standards.
