Calling all USASistas,
Tomorrow night at 9:00 pm EST, the farmworker
solidarity committee will have its second confrence
call. Please send me agenda items if you have any as i
will be facilitating. However, it is extremly
important to note that Irv Hershenbaum the vice
president of the United Farmworkers union will be on
the call for approximately 10 minutes beginning around
9:10 pm to talk about how we as USAS can help[ the UFW
in their campaign to have the governor of California
sign a bill that will force growers to recogize
farmworkers unions. This bill is historic and we need
to help in any way we can. So think of ideas and
strategy and show up on the call. IF YOU ARE INTRESTED
IN FARMWORKER ISSUES, HECK IN LABOR ISSUES IN GENERAL,
YOU MUST BE ON THIS CALL. I hope to see the phone
lines jammed. We need to work together on this one
guys. Talk to you soon.
