NO BLOOD FOR OIL Rally & March
Saturday, November 9, 2 PM Festival Park, South Side of Colliseum
On Saturday, November 9th, hundreds of people from all over Virginia
will descend on the state capitol in Richmond to protest George W
Bush’s proposed war with Iraq. And Food Not Bombs wants YOU to be there
with us.
There is no other way to say it: We can only stop this war with you.
Bush, Cheney, and their cronies at Exxon and Mobil are hell-bent
on invasion. The ONLY way they will be stopped is if every American who
doesn’t want us to kill for oil speaks up. Loudly. In the
streets. If Richmond, and every American city it’s size, starts to
experience large, angry demonstrations of hundreds of people, Bush’s war
machine can be halted. It’s not too late. We can stop them.
But we have to organize. Only with a coalition of Muslims,
Christians, Jews, activists, students, workers, families, and
ordinary people of all kinds who oppose this war, can we hope to
drown out the war drums. Food Not Bombs is soliciting organizations for
an anti-war coalition meeting in October (either the 5th or the 12th),
and individuals interested in helping organize for the

rally of twenty of the “usual suspects”. We are organizing a mass march
of 300+ people on the state capitol. We have to, because
nothing less will suffice right now.
It’s do or die time, folks. If you’re getting this email, you
probably don’t think we should be going to war with Iraq. The
unfortunate reality is that we will, unless you, and everyone else who
opposes it gets out in the streets. Please- mark it on your
calendar and plan to attend. Tell everyone you know. Help us
distribute fliers. Call us to get more involved. Send a solid
message from Virginia to DC---
