Here's something that sounds like a strategic use of 5-10 minutes time (or a
good addition to any call-in operations folks might be running.)
Peace and power, Kai
For Frances Crowe:
>Apparently Robert Byrd is thinking about filibustering any Iraq
>resolution. CALLS TO HIS OFFICE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Greetings Friends,
I just phoned Senator Byrd's office and was told that he is considering
this, but has yet to make a personal statement. The person who answered
said that they were taking calls and were interested to know people's
responses. She also encouraged me to contact Senators Kennedy and Kerry
and get them to join Senator Byrd, should he step out. I phoned both and
spoke with Christina Martin at Sen. Kennedy's office who said they are in
the process (as I type) with trying to figure out their plan of action --
with lots of options. Call and encourage Sen. Kennedy to STEP OUT! I got
voice mail for Kate Rhudy (Senator Kerry's aid).
That's 3 calls to make right now: Senators Byrd, Kennedy and Kerry.
Byrd 202-224-3954!
Kennedy (Christina Martin, 202.224.5110)
Kerry (Kate Rhudy, 202.224.2742)
blessings,
Jo
