Dear Supporters,
Please be on alert: Councilmember Eric Garcetti (CD13) is sponsoring an
Immigrant Workers Union resolution for LA City Council on Social Security
Adminstration No-Match letters, set to be on the Council agenda within the
next few weeks. We will be needing your support!
The resolution urges employers to take no punitive action against their
employees in response to the SSA No-Match letters and to not use the letters
to interfere with workers' legal right to organize.
Once a date is set to vote on the resolution at City Hall, we will need to
show community support for its passage by turning out and testifying. Please
be on alert!
