Agenda for Investing Values, a student conference on community investment!

Hi all, At the end of this announcement is the agenda for this conference. Thought you might like to know what's up. There is still a little room so if you are working on or want to be working on a community investment campaign on your campus, contact Mike, whose info is in this email. Thanks,

Riva

Students Transforming and
Resisting Corporations (STARC) Equity Trust, and Campus Compact, invites
you to a weekend-long student conference on community
investment at colleges and universities from November 1-3 in
Voluntown, CT (40 minutes from Providence, RI). The purpose of
the conference is to provide an opportunity for students to
familiarize themselves with the practice and philosophy of
community investment; discuss its appropriateness for colleges
and universities; learn about past and present student-led
community investment campaigns; strategize and network with
other students; and gain access to resources that will help them
organize a community investment campaign on their campus. The
conference will include panels, forums, speakers, workshops,
group discussions, videos, strategizing sessions and more.

There is no fee for the conference. To register or for more
information, please contact Mike Levien at Equity Trust. Ph:
860-376-6174 (Tue. and Thurs.); 401-421-0231 (evenings and all
other times). E-mail: mlevien@equitytrust.org. There is no
registration deadline, but please let us know you are coming as
soon as possible.
